2nd The Hare and Hounds and Red Lion at Wardington Then back to the Tearles’ house.
16th    Practise and AGM
23rd The Admiral Nelson at Braunston.  
February
5th The Plough at Upper Boddington plus Souldern Hill  
18" Rugby Beer Festival. Hired coach from Royal Oak.
March
5th The George and Dragon at Chacombe,  'Red Nose Day'. Raised £76.56.   -picture in local paper
Paul D has memory of  the "Diverging Dance:
During the chorus of 'Chicken Chasing', 1 half of the set turned in wrong direction, consequently the 2 halves had a huge distance to cover to rejoin set in the centre! "
Afterwards back to the Tearles’ house.
April
2nd The Windmill and the Maltster's Arms at Badby in aid of Amnesty International, then drinks at Joan Turvey’s.  Matchstick dance in pub due to rain. Sunday
23rd St George's Day, The Greyhound at Milton Malsor. With Rose & Castle and friends. [11 sides] Sunday
    First dance out for Mary and Marjory
May
1st May Day at Chesterton Windmill, Harbury and Ladbroke. Stayed overnight with Hereburgh
Breakfast at school
Danced with Hereburgh, Plum Jerkum and Anstey Morris.
    Paul remembers - "Outside village pub, Astley morris man 'fake murder' by sword, call went out for a virgin in audience, one found eventually, revived him with a kiss.  Having seen this the rest of the Astley Morris side spontaneously collapsed & waited for the virgin to come!

Don't Do This At Home.  On adjacent green, Jack in the wood (green man covered in conifer branches) danced, was set on fire (not really), all other sides danced round bonfire in circle."
5th   Pam Russell and Jacqui Bennett (and Sam?) join us.

29th Wroxton Fete then Northend Kevin's family see him dancing for first time - and are worried.

17th Warmington Fete On the village Green, and we, as performers, get  excellent tea and buns provided in someone's house.
18th Eydon Fete Dancing on the Green on Sunday afternoon.  Part of Eydon Flower Festival.

    Practice moves to Fleur De Lys at Woodford (whilst Eydon Village Hall renovated?).  Derek has now landlord of Fleur de Lys after leaving Royal Oak pub.

30th Upper Stowe craft fair Kevin remembers some crippling dancing on cobbles.

 Royal Oak side nearly run down by VW Golf.
November
1st  Harbury School Hall Wednesday.  Joint practice with Hereburgh
12th  The Plough at Upper Boddington.  
 30th Banbury Market Place For the 'switching on of the Christmas Lights'.   Two dance spots, for a collection.

Last time Kevin’s hankies were clean.
It was a wet night and the road 'grease' from the tarmac spashed Kevin's hankies, the stains from which are there to this day!
