18th AGM and practice for 23rd!  First (surviving) minutes of AGM
20th Day of Dance in Warwick with Nancy Butterfly and Pebworth Morris Pat (and the rest of us) can’t remember a dance tune, but are too embarrassed to ring John and ask him.

May
1st May Day at Brackley Market Place, Croughton, Kings Sutton and Farthinghoe. As usual, Royal Oak steal other people's publicity by Kevin getting in the press  photo of Brackley Morris dancing in the Red Lion.
 5th Paulerspury Farm Day. Sunday
 9th The Royal Oak at Eydon. Thursday
17th - 19th Potteries Folk Festival at Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent,  Paul remembers dancing with  Leopard Spot & Ringheye.  I remember Paul seeming to strike up a close relationship with members of the sides.  though he might take one of them home with him!

Evening dancing to 'The High Level Ranters'. Danced on paved area in center which was subsequently excavated by Time Team.

Double decker bus tour - 4 hand reel on bus upstairs - mayhem!

Sue booked ghastly bed & breakfast with barefoot waiter and rabbit hutch rooms. Never forgiven

30th The George at Maidford. Paul remembers a Cutting Edge Audience (who comprised of a large group of New Zealand sheep shearers)
June
13th The Plough at Warmington. Thursday
20th The Red Lion at Evenley.  
23rd Red Lion Hellidon Danced in Marquee at pub as well
27th The Plough at Upper Boddington.   
29th Old Mother Redcap DoD at Stoney Stratford, Onley, Great Linford. with Old Mother Red Caps, Stoney Stratford and Bedfordshire Lace.
July
5th - 7th Morris in the Forest, Llanwrtyd Wells.  First of many trips to Britain's smallest town, Llanwrtyd Wells.  Good format,  barn dance each evening, to Borborygme and All Blacked Up; Walks (and occasional Morris) in the hills; lots of workshops; and only a little public Morris dancing!
11th The Stratton Arms at Turweston  
19th The Star at Sulgrave.  
25th The Rhomer Arms at Newnham  
August
16th The Brazenose at Cropredy with Royal Liberty in black leather and bike chains instead of hankies
17th At intervals during Fairport re-union festival  with Adderbury Village Morris – who got so pissed that Morris teams were banned in future!
September
4th Weedon Lois. On a Wednesday – Why? – There is nothing there – not even a pub!
12th Northampton Beer Festival at Cricket Ground Thursday night entertainment at our old favorite.
29th The Kings Arms at Farthingstone.  
October
10th Eydon Village hall Royal Oak Morris AGM - again! (we move date so we have AGM at start of practice season rather than at end, so we can implement any changes we decide on there during the winter.)
?? Royal Oak’s secret tour of Shropshire Visit to Tearles and dance in deserted pubs and villages! Often in the rain.
