1991 In Brief

Dance Outs

After our enjoyment at going to Morris sides' Days of Dance, we sign up for a Folk Festival in Stoke on Trent, where we extended our range of experiences by dancing in the upstairs  aisle of a double decker bus, until told to stop as it was bending the roof downstairs.  Another less enjoyable memory was the 'hotel' that we all stayed in, very rough and ready!

Another first was Morris in the Forrest, in Llanwrtyd Wells, Britain's smallest town, where a minimum of Morris Dancing was required in return for several barn dances, long walks in the hills, dance workshops and extensive after hours drinking!

Thanks to Gloria, we get an invite (and free tickets) to Fairport Convention's Annual Reunion, to entertain between acts, and thanks to ex-members Jill and John we get an invite to (secretly) tour Shropshire in the rain.

Comings - and Goings

Lin Walker stopped dancing this year.  Marjory Coveney left to form an Appalachian side, then moved away.  Mandy Davies danced with the side during the year.
